Taking a broad look at the things needed to control the
world, one has to wonder ‘what do black people control?’ On a micro level, we
are our person who makes decisions on a daily basis that can affect the people
in our immediate space. On a macro level, we are the creators of many fantastic
inventions the world use on a daily basis. Though black people are known and
unknown as creators, do we own our creations? On a global scale, we occupied
the earth when it was named Pangaea. Presently, Pangaea has seven continents.
Black people have stayed and either thrived or died after the breakaway by what
scientists say was caused by earthquakes. There are several theories to how
homo sapiens populated the Earth. Personally, I love when they trace genetics.
Two videos I have watched on Youtube and refer people to are ‘The Real Eve’ and
‘The Journey of Man.’ One video tells the story of the female gene and the
other through the male gene and their voyage across the planet. I say all this
to say, black people, populated the world, but do we own anything?
It is easy to think that you own your thoughts. Wrong. Ever
heard of media? You do not always manifest a significant portion of what you
think. Once a person comes into contact with the media, you do not own your
thoughts. Your thoughts are told to you by a conglomerate that studies how to
manipulate the opinions of people, leading to the actions of a person. Feel for
a sugared drink? Do you call a specific product by the brand name? Ever heard
of Coke/ Coca-Cola? Coca-Cola is both a sugared drink and brand name. Ever
considered bleaching your skin? Or do you lighten? What would make you feel
inferior because of your skin color? Or degrade another person because of their
own? The list is endless of the mind-controlling success stories. Now if you
don’t control your thoughts then what of the world?
One can name several things perceived as owned by black
people but have you wondered who control it? We do not control our music, our
image, our media, our education, our religion, our land/resources, or our
money. I know many will think of ways to debunk what I write, that is fine, the
world needs opposition. I encourage everyone to debate each industry after
reading my admissions. One thing I always ask of others is to look into what I
have said or written. If I am wrong, please let me know.
Starting with music, who control the distribution of music
across the globe? Consider the music throughout Africa, a continent of
predominantly black people. Musicians always talk about the distribution and
owning one’s masters. Focus on the shipping because not many artists hold their
masters and distribution. Consider Hip Hop, R&B, Jazz. Hell, Rock and Roll
also Country music are not black anymore.
Music and image can be rolled into the media of present-day
standards since social media is a powerful tool. Which part of the world, other
than China does not use European education? When you look at the bigger
picture, this means your colonizers still colonize you. Who control the country
money, land and resources? Ever heard of Economic Hitmen? If not, then look
into them. Also, all Central Bank of (insert country name here) are privately
owned banks that control the currency of the country they are located. In the
U.S, it is the Federal Reserve. On the level of religion, this is a lengthy
discussion. I will add this; your savior should not be the same color of your
oppressor. Why can't your savior be you? People go to worship buildings to hear
the same thing differently, 'WAIT FOR A SAVIOR WHO WILL DELIVER YOU.' How about
you stop waiting and actively save yourself?
The products we use on a daily basis controlled by people
who do not like black people but love our money. There is a long list of
companies steeped in racism. Pepsi, Dove, Coca-Cola, Denny’s, Abercrombie &
Fitch, Walmart, Johnson and Johnson, Delmonte, Shell, BP, GE. Let us consider
all the white-owned, well-known companies in the world could very well have a
racist culture. There are the companies that profited from slavery and are still
major companies today. Lehman Brothers, New York Life, Canadian National
Railway Company, Barclays, Brooks Brothers, N M Rothschild & Sons Bank in
London, Trinity Church and Columbia University to name a few. If one wants to
believe we live in a world where ‘we all can get along regardless of race’ then
I ask, What world are you living in with your cognitive dissonance? Oh right,
Earth.
If I am nothing, I am a realist. I did not create this
world, I am living in it. While I am on this planet my choice of ending hatred,
discrimination and prejudice will be through education. My dad is fantastic in
parables, and I shall take one he often uses when we have discussions: “The
wise will always live off the foolish.” Being ignorant to the atrocities of
this world will always cause others to ridicule you for your stupidity.
Appearing dumb and as a sheep is not cool. Presently, many black people are
sheep because we love to follow what other races have while talking bad about
ourselves. If you have nothing good to say about black people means you do not
know who you are, you do not control your thoughts, you are a sheep, and you
are a coon. Until we can control some things about us, we can never control
what others say about us or do to us.
There are several solutions to this epidemic of mind
manipulation. Black people need to start buying black, learning history - real
history before colonization and slavery, bank black (not a black face on a
white bank), travel the world if possible, take care of other black people, get
rid of ignorance, also when you learn - teach others.
As Black People, we are the majority on this planet we call
Earth. We need to reinforce the trend of loving black. Love the Black Man, the
Black Woman, the Black Child, the Black Family, the Black Mother Earth, the
Black finance, the Black Power, the Black Mind and that melanin.

Very true and relevant message for not only Afrika, biy for all Afrikans in the diaspora. Decolonizing the mind is a project that needs to be undertaken with sustained vigor, we dare not let up! I like this article, my melanin and the person who wrote it ;))
